The Marmots trail
aux Karellis
Family hike in the heart of the mountains
The Marmots trail in Les Karellis is a family excursion that allows you to discover the beauty of mountain scenery while observing marmots in their natural habitat.
Departing from the Vinouve chairlift, set off on a 2.8 km (1,7 mi) hike of around 2 hours (100 m ascending elevation– 328 ft). This hike is another perfect way to spend some quality time with family and friends while recharging your batteries in the heart of nature.
Watch marmots as a family
Marmots are wild and protected animals. To preserve their natural habitat and avoid disturbing their behavior, it’s essential to follow a few simple rules. To avoid frightening the marmots, we advise you to stay on the marked trails and not to get too close to them.
It’s also important not to feed the marmots, as this can disrupt their natural diet and make them dependent on tourists. Finally, we recommend that you make no excessive noise or sudden movements, so as not to frighten the marmots and allow them to live in peace in their natural environment.
