The only community resort in Europe, Les Karellis is an extraterrestrial in the world of ski resorts!

Only using social economy operators (charities, cooperatives, public town services), its economic model, governance and mission make it an unrivalled resource in its ability to reboost an area that was being deserted.

HERE, it's like nowhere else on earth...

The lift pass system

Are ski passes included in the price of the holiday? Yes. At Les Karellis, the development of the slopes and runs is linked to the accommodation. The residences contribute to the budget for operating and developing the lift system, in return for customer access to the slopes. In this way, the interests of the holidaymakers (value for money) is the key element taken into account for every decision made!

Shops

Working as a cooperative, all the shops and restaurants at Les Karellis belong to the resort. Their profits are re-injected into the resort for investments, maintenance, etc. If you eat a pancake, buy a fleece, hire skis or take some cheese home with you, you are contributing to the resort's overall operations. Naturally, we are all at your disposal.

Another fundamental element in the Les Karellis model: the absence of property pressure

All the land has been given to the town by the owners. Even today, Les Karellis is protected from property peaks and troughs and their very serious consequences.

More than a mountain area or a simple winter sports resort, Les Karellis is a global model that combines place, people and responsible business development.
