This hike is ideal for warming up before a week (or two) of activities of all kinds.
Departure from the Tourist Information Office
Your adventure begins at the Les Karellis Tourist Office, where you can get all the information you need and sound advice before setting off: you can pick up a hiking map or buy the Topo-Guide to all the resort’s walks (€6).
The path is well signposted: follow the blue markings (no. 15).
A hike in the heart of nature
The Croix d’Albiez trail is 7.8 km round trip, with a positive difference in altitude of 385 metres. You’ll make your way through a variety of landscapes, from lush green forests to flower-filled meadows and Alpine ridges. Each step brings you a little closer to the ultimate reward: the breathtaking views over the Maurienne valley and the Belledonnes massif.
Prepare your trip and your legs
Before setting off, make sure you have the right equipment: hiking boots, water, snacks and weather-appropriate clothing. Don’t forget your camera to capture the breathtaking scenery you’ll encounter along the way.
